Robert is not a native Vermont (although his mother’s family arrived in Burlington in the 1880s), but he has been a part of the local acoustic music scene for more than 35 years. He joined Vermont Public Radio in 1996 as host of  “All the Traditions”.


He plays all variety of stringed and wind instruments and he claims to be chronically addicted to everything concerning the button accordion.


Robert wrties music reviews for local papers, serves asa program consultant for a variety of area concert venues, and is well-known in northern Vermont as a wild mushroom huner and chef. That’s all in his free time. Robert has been a librarian at the Fletcher Free Library in Burlington since 1990, and has served as one of the library’s Co-Directors since 1998.
